Credentialing
Every clinician here is Cannabis Care Certified
Cannabis Care Certification is a clinical education program run by Americans for Safe Access. It covers the endocannabinoid system, cannabis pharmacology, dosing and drug interactions, and it is designed for clinicians who advise patients and caregivers directly. Several states require a certification of this kind before a clinician can recommend cannabis. Texas does not, and Texas Cannabis Clinic requires it anyway.
Under the Texas Compassionate Use Program, prescriptions are entered into the Compassionate Use Registry of Texas (CURT) by a registered qualified physician. Texas does not issue a physical medical marijuana card. Approved patients are enrolled in CURT, which is the official state record, and Texas Cannabis Clinic provides a virtual certification card and approval letter through the patient portal.

Are all of the clinicians at Texas Cannabis Clinic certified in medical cannabis?
Yes. Every clinician on the team holds Cannabis Care Certification through Americans for Safe Access, which covers the endocannabinoid system, cannabis pharmacology and dosing. Texas does not require this certification, so it is a standard the clinic sets for itself.
Where are Texas Cannabis Clinic's clinicians located?
The practice is based in Austin, Texas and operates entirely by telemedicine, serving patients across the state from El Paso to Houston to the Rio Grande Valley. There are no in-person appointments and no clinic to drive to. Patients must be Texas residents, because the Compassionate Use Program is Texas-only.
